Playshop
Today the Seventh Grade at Norwayne got to participate in a Playshop that focused on sharing, teamwork, and having fun. We were blessed to have over 35 parent volunteers come and share this experience with us today and we are especially grateful to Ashley’s mom Michelle, to David’s mom Sharon, and Mrs. Elizabeth and Mrs. Rachel for coming and sharing in this experience. Our Guidance Counselor Mrs. Tammy Munoz deserves a GREAT BIG “Thank You!” for her hard work and her belief that the 330 seventh graders could all go in the gym and have fun and do it the right way! We are very proud that we proved her right.
Today was the last day to turn in late work and to earn AR points and many of the students worked diligently the last couple days to accomplish their goals. I am proud to announce that we have six students who earned over 50 points on the All Star Team. Congratulations to Aaron Everett, Patrick Skinner, Brittney Barfield, AndreAnna Howard, Ben Johnson, and Jessica Price for not only meeting your goal but also setting personal goals for yourself and earning over 50 points! We have one 100-point reader. Matthew Quick has far exceeded his personal goal and has topped out at over 100 points earned this nine weeks by successfully mastering 15 AR books as well as many other books of interest. CONGRATULATIONS MR. QUICK!
