Christmas Concert
Today Norwayne’s students and staff were entertained with a Christmas Concert provided by our very own band program. The All-Star team was well represented in the band program with two of our young men actually assisting with all three of the different grade level band programs. Jeff C. and Andrew C. were in such high demand that they played for the entire one-hour program with all three grade level bands. We wrote a short journal today about our favorite Christmas songs and many of the kids discussed how in the “holiday spirit” they really are.
We will most likely be finishing up The Christmas Carol tomorrow. We have had an excellent time with the play and the kids have learned a tremendous amount about stage directions and according to them, “a ton of new vocabulary words.” To be real honest this is the first time I have taught the play. I always thought it was too old, too difficult, and too old fashioned. What a lesson I have learned in this story also.

The Christmas concert was awesome. Good job Jeffrey and Andrew. I can't wait until Christmas. I'm enjoying my part in reading the Christmas Carol.

The band concert was realy fun especelly for me and Jeff because we got to be in all three bands. Music is really interesting when you are learning about how to play the notes and what the note is called. Just wanted to say hey.

I really liked reading a Christmas Carol because it tells how people can act around Christmas time by being selfish, stingy to keep all for yourself.

I had a good time at the concert and can't wait until Christmas to get games to play. Jeff and Andrew were awesome and can't wait to see the next conert.

Whats up coach? I thought the band concert was kinda cool. I also thought that the snare drummers did'nt have a big enough part. I'll talk later bye.

I tought the Christmas concert was pretty good but I nerver even heard half of the songs they played I only knew a couple songs.

I liked the band concert because I like band and I am a band student, I play the clairanet, they did great.

The band was really awesome. They played very good. If they had a piano in the band I would be in it.

I loved the Christmas Concert because I was in it playing the Baritone with Andrew. I loved playing with all three bands because we got to play a whole lot of different songs. Andrew you did a very good job playing the Baritone with me. My most favorite song of all was LES MISERABLES. Thank you everybody for complimenting me and Andrew from the Christmas Concert.

Hey Mr. Person! The Christmas concert was great except for some people around me that couldn't stay still. They played great!
