Report Cards
Congratulations to all those who made the Honor Roll from the Buccaneers Team. It is great that so many of the kids have improved their academic performance and made this distinction. I hope that the entire team will make the Honor Roll these last two nine weeks grading periods and be proud of their accomplishment.
We began a southern Africa unit today in social studies and discussed in great depth how the region has been ravaged by the AIDS virus. This disease affects the people, the environment, and the economy in such a huge way. In their lifetime, these students will have to address this holocaust of human life and hopefully they will do a better job than we have. The percentage of the population affected by HIV and AIDS is staggering. In some countries, one in three is infected. This disease orphans whole generations of children. We will be testing on the countries of the region borrowing Mrs. Lipcsak’s video of Oprah goes to South Africa for a Christmas Kindness Project.
In Language Arts the kids have completed their paragraphs for the Family Trees. Some will be choosing to do a larger project for a Bonus Grade. Extra Credit is not something I do very often, so I hope the students will take advantage of this opportunity.

I did not make the honor roll and my mother had a few words to say. I'm surprise I did not get beat really hard. I think my mom was in a happy mode.

Even though I did not get on the honor roll, I was suprised for my mom not to hurt me. But it will be ok.

LOL Kenny! I made A honor roll and working for Principles List.
That is terrible... 1 in three people is infected with AIDS. Cant wait to watch Oprah goes to South Africa, and Mr. Person Thank You for extra credit!

I love the game you made up for us to play in class as a way to study for our vocabulary test. I also think the social studies test you gave us was really easy, I made a 100 and I was proud of myself for making the grade I did. I just wanted to say a few words and I said them so goobye.(and get a free five point ticket) Sorry if some of the words are spelled wrong I'm in a rush.

I tried hard in my old school now I am trying hard here. My mom was so proud I made Principals List. I got a whole tub of ice cream to myself!

First, I just want to say that I made a B Honor Roll. Now I just want to remind you that I made a 100 on both of my Geography tests. Well I have to go now, I am dozing while writting this so I know some of the words are spelled wrong because I am so sleepy my vision is running together so, sorry!
